is an agency representing a wide range of talented illustrators and licensing artists, all striving to create unique work primarily for the children’s marketplace.
Painted Words, formerly Lori Nowicki & Associates (established in 1992) was launched 2006. The company currently represents illustrators and authors in the children’s publishing, advertising and editorial marketplace. It is our mission to develop writers and illustrators in order to create authentic works for the children’s publishing market and beyond. Our goal is to provide the utmost in representation for illustrators and authors while placing a unique emphasis on developing characters, books and licensed properties.

Tim grew up in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire (UK). As a young child, he spent many happy hours d
rawing and painting his favorite things. It is of little surprise that Tim loved art school. His fascination and curiosity of how shape, color, and line could combine with words to make his world a more entertaining and brighter place captured his imagination. This drove him to pursue a career in the commercial art world, taking him down many avenues of creative learning. The same fascination that inspired him as a boy burns ever so brightly today. Tim’s passion has culminated in him writing and illustrating his first children’s picture book, Dino Express.
