My own little story begins as a boy growing up in the 1960’s / 70’s.
I was captivated by TV, in particular the bold and striking cartoon shows that were a part of most kids lives in this era.
I would race home from school to be sure to catch the hour of children’s TV shows before the early evening news on either the BBC or ITV stations. Shazzan, Top Cat, Yogi Bear, Deputy Dawg, Marine Boy, The Flintstones and Huckleberry Hound plus many more which fired my imagination.
The impact of these shows with their stylized graphics and design quite literally blew my mind ! and had a massive part to play in developing my own artistic skills.
My curiosity and fascination as to how simple lines, bold design and striking colour could combine to make wonderful imagery eventually led me into a career as a graphic designer that took me down many avenues of creative learning.
Today I have combined the inspiration that fired me as a youngster and the experience I have gathered throughout my career to offer an imaginative approach to commercial illustration, design and writing.
